Canon Power(s): Other than the obvious byakugan, a near 359 degree field of vision that allows for both keen observation of his environment and the placement of tenketsu, chakra pores, on the body, Neji is also an incredibly skilled user of Jyuuken, or rather, gentle fist. Jyuuken focuses entirely on exploiting the aforementioned chakra pores by either shutting off or redirecting the flow of chakra in an individual. By utilizing various combinations (as seen in variants of 64 "hands" within a specific field of Neji's attack range), he can nearly entirely disable a chakra using individual. Neji is a master at controlling his own tenketsu; it's the very fine points of chakra extended from the tips of his fingers that activate or disable the tenketsu in another. Additionally, Neji uses the "Heavenly Spin", which is a rotational whirlwind of chakra that he pushes violently from all his tenketsu that effectively deflects most ranged attacks. He can manipulate chakra in this fashion for various other activities (i.e. forcefully deflecting an opponent with a flat palmed burst of chakra).
Modified Power: A slight modification to the suggested powers. Neji’s body is capable of producing an anti-syn chemical in small quantities. Innate Syn energy engages with a specific compound in his blood plasma, fibrinogen, dna binds to create what could be described as a Syn "clotting agent". By secreting small amounts of said agent and delivering it through a series of fluid, martial-arts style movements, Neji is able to weaken or render already poor Syn powers useless.
As the fluid directly requires a compound in his own plasma, using this ability to any excess greatly dehydrates him to the point of passing out. Additionally, any substantial injuries or open wounds run the risk of becoming serious while he's weakened, as producing the Anti-Syn serum utilizes one of the clotting factors in his blood plasma. A temporary hemophiliac, so to speak. He is currently attempting to find other applications of his talents.

History: The Hyuugas, already wealthy and distinctly influential, naturally found themselves at the forefront of the Pro-Syn movement when nearly the entire family found itself miraculously struck with a vast array of powers--what did they have to lose? As the only son of the man born-too-late, Hyuuga Hizashi, Neji was immediately shunted to the side and casually dismissed from all family affairs despite his powerful display of Syn (and, perhaps more disturbing, Anti-Syn) abilities. All energy was devoted to the education and training of the so-called Heirs: his two cousins and his father's twin.
By his eighth birthday, his father was assassinated at a Pro-Syn rally held at the behest of his Uncle Hiashi. A vague sense of paranoia occasionally kept his footfalls light at home soon after--there was always the possibility (although he never entertained it for more than a few minutes at best) that Hiashi had specifically staged and arranged his Father’s death. Embittered by his Uncle's lack of outrage on his behalf, Neji focused almost solely on examining the potential strengths and weaknesses of his own powers from that point forward, determined to make sure that he could (violently, if necessary) retaliate against all Anti-Syn movements.
Although Cynical and prideful nearly to a fault, Neji excelled in school only to further himself and (ironically) regarded his cousin Hinata's lack of power and control as a disgrace. Her "hard work" was only an admission of her own weakness rather than any show of fortitude, although it was admittedly difficult to forget one of his Father’s last lectures: you’re here to protect your cousin.
Neji's cool disaffection and prickly personality left him somewhat a loner, though he was never uncomfortable in that position (although likely lost out on what could have been valuable relationships), and also placed him into the ranks of Hyuuga straying dangerously close to the point of violent Anti-Syn retaliation. Anyone working to casually reinsert the Syns into society as normal humans was immediately labeled as a potential threat. When the New Amsterdamn Project emerged at the start of his eighteenth year, Neji found the perfect opportunity to escape his family by answering the call of the SeeD organization. The possibility of their employ would, at the very least, satisfy his purposes temporarily: his Anti-Syn serum made him a perfect (albeit limited) weapon against any out of control Syn agent.
By the same token, however, Neji was not entirely unaware of the potential ramifications that serum could have if the ability to mass produce it existed. Genova physically represented the hard point of rage needled deep beneath his ribs, and the irony that he could be of use to their cause was not lost on him. Neji, still lurking in the skirts of his widely renowned family, found himself on the verge of powering onward in one of two directions--and still could not entirely discount the sweet longing for revenge.
